"We are living in turbulent times and a clear position in these times is essential. Peace, self-determination, tolerance, freedom of expression and non-negotiable fundamental rights are my values. I welcome all people on my pages who share these values with me."
My name is Stephan Alker and my vocation, design, runs like a red thread through my life. When I was young, I used brushes, pencils and pens to express my creativity. My training as a gravure retoucher in a leading international transfer printing company opened up the colorful world of pattern-printed surfaces for me.
Conventional work in the darkroom and at the light table came to an end at the beginning of the 1990s and I became fascinated by the new possibilities of the computer, so that I also bought an Apple computer for private use. Professionally, I started designing artwork for fashion, home textiles and decor.
I have been working as a freelance designer since 2021. Pattern design, graphic design, animations and much more are now part of my creative tasks.
After my training as a gravure retoucher, I have continuously learned and deepened my skills autodidactically. I use Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Indesign, Adobe After Effects and many other programs for the implementation of my diverse and colorful tasks.
You will notice that I avoid using English terms as much as possible. This is because I am a fan of the German language. Unfortunately, Anglicisms are on the increase in our language and I particularly reject the Anglicism "gender" with its dramatic consequences, the total bastardization of the German language.
Thank you for your Interest in my services.
